The new InspectionXpert for PDF 2012 and InspectionXpert OnDemand 2012 are here! We've made another incremental leap with this release, including all kinds of features to make InspectionXpert's automation capabilities faster and more powerful for our users. Here's a short list of some key enhancements below.
- Easily handle drawing revisions and changes with new ability to Cut, Copy and Paste balloons and/or characteristics, and easy Drag & Drop re-ordering of characteristics in the Table Manager
- User friendly GD&T Builder tool provides more options for working with Geometric Tolerances in your inspection reports
- Additional Sub Types and Units (such as Torque, Temperature, Voltage, Electrical Capacitance, etc.) are now available for even more comprehensive reporting options
- New Grid Setup options and interface make it easier to customize grids across multiple pages
- New Hide Captures feature hides captured dimensions to show what you have missed
- OCR capabilities have been added to Bill of Materials and Specifications tabs to make it even faster to capture information for AS9102 Forms 1 and 2.

The new InspectionXpert for PDF 2012 will be shown at the Computer Aided Products booth #1609 at the Mfg4 Event 2012. Stop by for a live demonstration of the new features in InspectionXpert for PDF 2012. Mfg4 Event 2012 is a new manufacturing event designed to share supply chain innovations across four key industry sectors: aerospace, defense (including arms), medical and energy manufacturers. Mfg4 is being held at the Connecticut Connection Convention Center in Hartford, Connecticut on May 8 - 10, 2012.

This month's issue of Modern Machine Shop includes a writeup on Arnprior Rapid Manufacturing Solution's use of InspectionXpert to automate the creation of first article inspection reports. Arnprior is one of the largest ‘all under one roof’ manufacturing solution centers in the Northeastern United States and serves a diverse range of industries including aerospace, medical, automotive and consumer products. With InspectionXpert for PDF, Arnprior has eliminated over half the time they spend creating first article inspection reports (FAIRs) and helped them standardize processes while reducing the risk of errors.

This month's issue of Quality Magazine features an article on one of our customers, PBC Linear's use of InspectionXpert for SolidWorks software. The linear motion manufactufacturer was able to automate its inspection process using InspectionXpert, which not only removed the chance of human error and increased productivity but also speeed up the process significantly. As a bonus, the company's inspection sheets are all now AS 9100-compliant, a huge benefit since the company is in the process of obtaining AS 9100 certification.
