 InspectionXpert First-Article 2010 Released
New features help you balloon drawings and extract dimensions faster
APEX, NC – October 19, 2009 – Extensible CAD Technologies announced the release of the new InspectionXpert First-Article 2010. InspectionXpert First-Article helps companies create ballooned inspection drawings and quality inspection forms from CAD drawings in many different formats. The new release contains over 100 new features and enhancements including these seven major enhancements that help quality departments create ballooned inspection drawings and export their critical dimensions, geometric tolerances, notes and any other inspection characteristics into a quality inspection report form faster and more accurately:
1. Heads up user interface makes it even easier to use - InspectionXpert First-Article 2010 has a new, always-visible “Characteristic Property Manager” that features user controls to help you easily change properties without obscuring your view of the inspection drawing.
2. Ability to control individual balloon appearance - To give you control over the look and feel of your ballooned drawing, InspectionXpert First-Article 2010 provides the ability to change the color, size and location of individual balloons.
3. Improved performance - Serious performance tuning has made InspectionXpert First-Article 2010 a lean, mean ballooning machine. Both markup performance and datagrid performance were addressed, giving users more customization and creating greater time savings.
4. Improved OCR accuracy -With InspectionXpert First-Article 2010, you can generate text-based inspection reports from a wider range of drawings due to the new OCR improvements.
5. Concurrent licensing - it is easier than ever for your co-workers to enjoy the benefits of quick and accurate inspection reports. The new concurrent licensing option allows for installation on multiple machines after paying a one-time, fixed-rate concurrency fee to float all of your InspectionXpert First-Article licenses.
6. Customizable Grid – InspectionXpert First-Article 2010 enables you to customize the extents and lettering or numbering of your superimposed navigation grid. The grid is a must for finding inspection characteristics on a large drawing and the new enhancements make it even more powerful and easier than ever to use.
7. Improved templates – Even though InspectionXpert’s Template Editor (another InspectionXpert first) enables you to easily create your own custom inspection report templates, InspectionXpert First-Article 2010 comes with new and improved “out of the box” templates for even better looking First-Article submissions.
“The input from our clients has been instrumental to help us improve ease-of-use, speed up performance, and increase user customization options,” says Jeff Cope, President of Extensible CAD Technologies. “The enhancements in InspectionXpert First-Article 2010 make this one of our most important releases.”
The InspectionXpert product line quickly and accurately generates quality inspection report forms and ballooned inspection drawings directly from CAD drawings in various formats such as DWG, PDF, TIF, and more. By helping to automate the First Article Inspection process, InspectionXpert generates an average time-savings of 40 to 60%, and comes standard with AS9012 and PPAP inspection sheet formats as well as unlimited, customizable inspection sheet templates.
