InspectionXpert for SolidWorks extracts plus/minus dimensions, hole callouts, notes, surface finish symbols, weld symbols and even geometric tolerances. Where appropriate, InspectionXpert captures tolerances, units of measure, owning configuration and more.

InspectionXpert automatically dissects hole callouts into individual inspection characteristics and uniquely numbers them in an intelligent way that makes it obvious which characteristics go together.

You can apply a sampling plan to your inspection report form with confidence because InspectionXpert for SolidWorks has the ANSI Z1.4 and Mil-Std-105E single sampling tables for sampling by attributes built in.

Add uniquely numbered inspection balloons to your SolidWorks drawing in a hurry. Finding your key characteristics is quick and painless because InspectionXpert supports two balloon formats, one for your normal characteristics and another for key characteristics.
InspectionXpert gives the user to automatically create a new layer on their drawing and to place all inspection balloons on that layer. This makes it easy to turn your inspection balloons on and off.

InspectionXpert automatically pulls tolerances from any dimension that is explicitly toleranced (i.e. if the tolerance is specified on the dimension). When there is no explicit tolerance on a dimension, InspectionXpert will apply a default tolerance. Default tolerances can be defined based on SolidWorks drawing defaults, nominal dimension precision and by range.

| Default tolerance specified by the precision (number of decimal places) of the nominal dimension. |
Default tolerance specified by where the nominal dimension falls in a range of user-defined values. |

In addition to exporting all of your inspection dimensions to Microsoft Excel, InspectionXpert for SolidWorks can export all of your other inspection characteristics too. Even feature control frames for geometric tolerances are supported.

InspectionXpert for SolidWorks uses Excel templates to control the look and feel of the quality inspection reports that it creates. Industry standard templates such as AS9102 (aerospace & defense) and PPAP (automotive) are included but your very own custom export templates are also supported. InspectionXpert enables you to add as many Export templates as you choose.

Speaking of custom export templates, InspectionXpert for SolidWorks ships with a powerful yet easy to use Template Editor that enables you to quickly and easily customize the look and feel of your quality inspection report forms. You can even use the Template Editor to make your existing quality inspection report form template work with InspectionXpert.

InspectionXpert for SolidWorks may be purchased to run standalone (on an individual computer) or concurrently (shared amongst muliple, networked computers).
